Jazz Dancer

Sox
Quarter Horse
Sweet and sassy mare, slow for rank beginners, but ready to go for intermediate riders. She has touched in barrel racing, reining and jumping in her younger years, shown a little, won some ribbons at local gymkhanas. Trustworthy and gentle with her own touch of quirks, she is your typical red mare with a little bit of fire in her. Another long time family member, brought home at age 3. She is lessons only.

Brazil
Welsh x Pony Gelding

Wonderful for beginner riders, to teach walk/trot/canter. Cheeky enough that if you struggle with leg and feel, he will not go forward and allows for you to learn how to correctly engage leg and seat. Great for packing littles over their first fences and showing to 2'3".

Half lease only.

"Image"
17 yo Welsh Cob Gelding

Lovely uphill mover, smooth enough for the nervous novice, but forward enough for the braver intermediate riders to jump. Scopey to jump and available for 2’3-2’6”. Paid lease to 2’9/3’. Available for half lease.

Picture
Spirit
3/4 Arab x Clyde/Saddlebred

The old soul. He is 18- the grandpa of his group. Sensible, patient and playful. While too forward for rank beginners, he makes an excellent gentle longe-line horse for learning seat in canter with his floating gaits. And a great show horse to start out in the ring with. He has the most experience in show rings and a personal teammate of almost 7 years. Born and raised here. Semi retired.

Tank
Spotted Draft

Tank is a retired mountain trail horse who has been a great addition to our lesson program. He’s a perfect starter horses for teens and adults as he only has two speeds. Come enjoy this giant teddy bear!

Perfect for the 4-6 yo kiddos. Known for his saucy personality and good looks. He will win you over with his infamous begging expression. He is the perfect size for a first taste of ponies and allowing young riders to get comfortable handling for tack up and on the ground.

Picture

Diesel
18 yo Gelding, 17.1 hh

This giant fellow came from a lesson program/dressage home in BC to his new "semi-retired" life where he will pack around our taller riders to a max of 225 lbs. He has a large body, and lofty gaits with some fun buttons to teach both english and western on. Lesson horse only.

Picture

Forrest
Thoroughbred gelding, 16.1 hh

A classy, kind fellow and young at heart despite his age- Forrest has jumped up to 3'6" in his previous home. He is brave, forgiving and a perfect challenge for advanced beginner to intermediate riders. He is a gentleman at shows, and careful with his riders in the ring. He is known for his ability to continue to patiently do his job even when his rider has moments of nervousness.
Half lease only.

Picture

Roo "Peter Parker"
Caspian Horse

Roo.. he is the real life "Heartland" pony, known for his nickers in greeting his rider, cheering them on when they dismount or do around the world on his back. He is spunky and spry for young riders who like a challenge but forgiving for beginners with a lovely canter to teach seat during lunge lessons. He is known for his unique breed, loved for his quirkiness and has quickly become a barn favourite.  Half lease only.

Picture

Bandit
3/4 Arabian, 1/4 Clyde/ASB
15.2hh gelding.

Ultimately, Bandit is not a lesson horse and is actually a personal horse but has been known to make an appearance with the longer term adults within the program. He is a bright, cheeky, busy brained fellow, known for his quick thinking, and beautiful movement. He is used for dressage only at this time.

Picture

Cheeky
Andalusian x Welsh, 15 yo gelding

Cheeky is certainly cheeky. He is a quieter steady-eddy type that can take a joke and is great for the first timers to advanced beginners. He jumps currently to 2'. Brave, non-spooky disposition. His trot and canter are incredibly smooth to ride, which sometimes makes it tricky for riders to keep him forward.

Retirees

Picture

Krista- From fiirst impression, she seems like a crotchety 25 year old, but she had a bit of a rough past. She starts off a little bit wiry but settles quickly. There is a soft side to her. An excellent horse for groundwork lessons as she is very expressive and a clear mirror. This mare likes to work and is best for advanced beginners to intermediate riders. Often used to teach canter due to her floating stride.Often noted for her loss of her left eye. Rest Easy <3

Picture
We lost Buddy in the fall of 2019.  His gentle soul is greatly missed. Buddy is my main beginner horse. He is the most steadfast of the bunch. Interactive in personality, safe and solid, but also just set enough in his ways that he teaches riders to be more assertive. He is a gentle, playful boy. His loves are food and brushing. Walk/trot only.

"The horse you got off is not the same as the horse you got on. It is the job of the rider to ensure that, as often as possible, the change is for the better." Unknown
