Jumping Student, Candace
As a riding/jumping student of Celine’s, I've been incredibly impressed by her mature and dedicated coaching. She has really helped me re-gain my confidence as a rider and knowledge of horses. I always feel really great after my lessons and am constantly amazed by the amount of insight, new approaches and practical techniques she has to share. She displays a high degree of integrity, patience, and has provided me with excellent support in the areas I’ve needed. I can confidently recommend Celine Roy and I’m happy to give her my wholehearted endorsement as a riding instructor and the ability to do stunning work with horses."
Buzz
"I brought my 3 yo welsh pony Buzz to Celine last July because I was pregnant and couldn't do the work myself. He had only a few rides on him before and was quite green. She did a great job with him! She accomplished everything that I wanted her to with him. He came home with a solid understanding of all his basics. He has been a great little trail horse so far and will even go out on his own willingly. Celine gave him a great start! I would definitely send him (or any of my horses) back if he needs anything in the future!" (Lisa & Buzz)

"Thank you Celine for doing such a great job with Lewis! I am so lucky to have found you to start him and think you are a very talented trainer! I appreciate your continued knowledge and advice, and am thankful for your ongoing support!
I brought Celine my horse to start back in February - she took her time with him and made an immediate connection with him. Each week it was amazing to see the progress! He started off being quite skittish and nervous, and is now a relaxed/happy horse. He continues to improve and with Celine's help, we are learning from each other and having a lot of fun. He is now going WTC very nicely and we are starting to work on lead changes. I took him out on his first trail ride last month and he was awesome. Love that I can trust him and he can now trust me. Thanks to Celine's hard work and talented skills, Lewis has had a fantastic start and will continue to grow! Thank you so much Celine!"

"Thank you Celine for doing a great job getting my mare restarted. Very pleased with how quiet she is riding outside. Well done. Very nice facility you work out of too. Sandy Roy takes good of the horses. ;) "

Hi Celine! It's all true!!
Celine Roy did an awesome job with my 3YO Quarter Horse-Dylan. Knowing I could leave him with such a talented horse trainer, who would give me her honest opinion the whole way along was an amazing feeling! The good and the bad! Giving me her years of knowledge to help me better understand horses as well. It was a great feeling that I could trust someone who was not just in the business for the money, but for the love and well being of horses as well! Dylan was lightly started (not 100% done growing) and he came home more confident then ever! I will definitely bring Dylan back to Celine once he is ready for her to keep going with the amazing work she has already started!! Very pleased with CR Horsemanship!!

Celine Roy was referred to me by a co-worker, who had just recently sent her gelding for training. We dropped off one of our favorite ponies, Astrid at Celine’s barn in 2013. Astrid is a registered half bred Connemara filly and at 4 years old, she was only halter broken and needed a good foundation. We decided that Astrid required 2 months of training to achieve this for her. Due to the distance between us, Celine kept us updated on her progress through video and email. Two months later we went and picked up Astrid, and spent a couple of hours with Celine and Astrid, learning about her training, Celine took the time to ride Astrid and demonstrate where Astrid is in her training development and then I went for a ride. We were very pleased with her progress; then and now. Celine Roy provided her with a strong training foundation, we were wanting for Astrid, and we have and would recommend her to others as a trainer. I can’t say enough about how please we were to have found Celine Roy, and how confident I feel that our ponies are in a safe environment away from their home.

"I had Celine take 2 very sensitive, standoffish ponies in for training. 1 pony had been to a trainer with no success. Celine did an excellent job gaining their trust and was able to quickly establish communication with them. Celine is patient and intuitive with horses. Both ponies came back friendly, willing and sensible. What an accomplishment!! This young girl will go far with her career with horses as she loves what she does and it shows! Celine is open to learning and constantly seeking knowledge for the betterment of herself and her horses."

"Celine Roy is a remarkable young and talented horse woman. She was able to assist me with getting my 3 horses to respond safely and appropriately to me. I would not hesitate in recommending Celine to anyone. She is professional and completes fully what has been agreed upon. I look forward to fall 2014 when she continues training my horses. Thank you Celine for all you have done for me!!! For me and my horses!!"

"Thank you Celine for the excellent work you did with Chilly! Your patience and intuitiveness in dealing with Chilly were evident in your work with him. I was also impressed with how thorough you were in addressing his issues. Chilly is now more confident and trustworthy. It is great to see how willing and eager Chilly has become with his walk/trot/canter. Your patience and knowledge are very much appreciated.

"Celine has been training our palomino quarter horse Winston for about two months now. Celine is so intuitive about Winston's behaviors responses and needs. Her approach of natural horsemanship is like beauty in motion, Celine and Winston move as one. It is so nice to watch our horse relax, and have fun while he learns.
As well Celine's knowledge base is so sound for someone so young. She is so passionate about training horses that she is continually increasing her knowledge base and spontaneously shares her knowledge. We have learned so much from Celine about many varied aspects of being with and working with a horse. Celine helps our horses to be brave and to trust because Celine truly loves horses. Thank-you for being who you are Celine.
Warm regards from June and Gerald Knobel, Winston and Stetson"

"Celine has so much knowledge about horses for a young woman. It is evident that she has read books, listened to many more experienced horsewomen, including her mother, and studied horses herself. I've found that she has handled my horses well and brought out their strengths. She has had some tough rides, but, her courage and determination to get back on is strong. I recommend her training skills for anyone who wants a well-started, balanced horse. Most of all, she is willing to listen to her horses and what they tell her is the right way to go! "

Thank You Celine for the wonderful job you did with Sonny! He left our place a three year old baby, who we could barely get in the trailer, never off the farm. In 30 days you did an amazing job with him. Not only did he grow up & gained confidence, but he is also doing great under saddle at walk, trot & canter. We are so impressed & happy with his training, your care & dedication shine through.
Thank You,

Celine is extremely talented and knowledgeable about her horses. She is someone worth picking her mind about her experiences and training/handling methods. She is patient when it come to more difficult horses and is good at figuring them out. I love how she only works each horse to their own mental capability and doesn't push them overboard/flood them. I sent my 3yr old rescue to her who was a bundle of nerves and I had a hard time trying to figure him out with the very little spare time I had. In only 30 days she did amazing job at starting basic ground work and he came back much softer, responsive, and less stressed/nervous all the time. By the end of his training, there was a huge difference in his eyes and is much calmer and more confident. She is down to earth and honest about her horses and to people, which is one big trait that makes an excellent trainer (no bs lol). I take her word for all she has had to say about my horse and she has provided me many different modern views on handling a young horse.
I 110% recommend Celines horsemanship, training, and coaching to anyone looking for a young, modern, very talent women to work with them and their horse!!

Celine works with my Arab and he is like a new horse:) I love that she works with horses without gadgets - she utilizes natural horsemanship and basic horse psychology to meet the animal where they are at in a gentle but firm way.

Celine is an excellent riding coach. She always explains why something should be done a certain way and not just the how.
Celine's lessons go well beyond riding and cover a lot about overall equestrian, starting with how to approach a horse to catch it in the pasture right on through to cleaning stalls after a ride.
Highly recommend Celine as a riding coach.

Celine is a wonderful teacher and has incredible patience. Our nine year-old has been really scared to ride, after having a couple of falls. Since she's been working with our son and his pony, they've both been more confident. Our son is starting to get excited about riding, and the change in our pony has been amazing. Celine has been great about making our son do things himself. She is wonderfully calm and gentle with both our son and his pony. I'd recommend her to anyone.

I have had bad experiences with trainers before, so was naturally scared to take my boy to someone. I had purchased a mini gelding from celine and Sandy before and he was an amazing pony for my daughter so I decided to give her a chance with my baby boy Gus. All I can say is WOW!! Celine is absolutly amazing with my boy, she treats him just as if he were one of her own and is very professional. Celine is a very quiet, patient and kind soul. All I can say is thank you to her (which is not nearly enough!!)

Celine is a talented and dedicated trainer. She was able to put some miles on my highly spirited Arabian and help him develop a calm mind on the trail.
She really cares about the horses she's training and goes the extra mile for them.

Celine is a natural when it comes to horsemanship and coaching. She's gentle, patient, kind and authentic. Her holistic approach helps you build a genuine relationship with your horse. She's helped me overcome fears and anxieties to become a stronger and more confident rider. As a coach and friend, I couldn't ask for better and can't thank her enough for how encouraging she's been

What can I say. Celine is awesome! Incredible dedication and work ethic. She has a real passion for horses and it shows. I would not hesitate to recommend her

Re: Reference for Celine Roy
To whom it may concern:
Finding the right trainer for me was a daunting task; finding someone that you are able to trust with your animal is difficult. I consider myself very lucky to have found Celine Roy when I was looking for someone to take Deeds. Deeds is an 8 year old Arab gelding who is a very special horse that loves people and has a unique personality. He had been professionally trained as a young horse; however the time between his original owner and when I purchased him was less than kind. He was having an awful fear response to the saddle, and when I was able to get the saddle on him even trying to approach the saddle would terrify him.
Celine accepted the challenge, and took Deeds to see if she could work him through his issues. Celine never pushed Deeds farther than he go could and gave him the time that he needed. I received updates on his progress and Celine was very honest so I felt I always knew how he was doing.
The training was tailored to him to work through his issues, and was successful in helping him overcome his fear; the difference in my horse is remarkable. I am happy to say that Deeds is calm and stands to be saddled and is happy to be ridden. I couldn’t have asked for more; Deeds no longer has a fear response to the saddle and does well being ridden in the round pen. He has come a long way in the short two months that he was with Celine which in my opinion can be attributed to the patience and kindness that he received. It takes a very special and knowledgeable person to work a horse through the issues and the fear that he had.
I appreciate the hard work and dedication that Celine gave Deeds and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer that is committed to the horses she works with. Please feel free to contact me if you would like any further information at [email protected].

Jane's owner, Jen
To Whom It May Concern: April 25,2012
I am the owner of a Quarter Horse called. Copy Be Swift ( aka Jane.) This mare is 5 coming 6 and was barely started. I did not know how much the horse knew as I had ridden her only a couple of times at a walk. She felt quite volatile under me and as a result of a long illness that required surgery I had no balance which of course resulted in a complete lack of confidence. I thought that I would have to sell Jane although I really liked her attitude towards people. Jane is the kind of horse that will try if she is treated well however if she feels bullied she will erupt and become almost unmanageable. She appears to have an underlying fear of people.
I met Sandy and Celine Roy as a result of an advertisement regarding a pony they had for sale. When I went to see the pony I noticed that the facilities were spotless. All of the horses seemed to be well cared for whether they were boarders, horses in training or personal mounts.
Celine rode the pony for me and I was very impressed with her skills, attitude and maturity toward training. A number of discussions took place that day about training as well as horses in general. After much discussion we decided that I would bring Jane to Celine to at least find out how much the horse knew. I was still unable to ride.
The first few rides made it very clear that Jane knew very little although she did have lots of try. My husband and I decided to leave Jane for 30 days and see how she progressed. I went out a couple of times to see how things were progressing and was quite happy with what I saw. When the 30 day period was up I decided to leave Jane for another 30 days since my husband who is an intermediate beginner would be riding her for the most part.
The progression this horse made with Celine is tremendous. She is now while a hot horse in need of a job one that trusts her rider even if she sees something scary. She is very responsive to my requests of her as well. I have ridden out on trails a few times since she we brought her home and she has done very well. On our first trail ride we came upon a patch of water across the trail which I knew was at least knee deep. Jane was very concerned at first that there might be alligators in there. I gave her a minute then asked her to go forward into the water and she did, no problem or hesitation. Now it’s time for much deeper water
I’m still considering that I may have to sell Jane as she might be too much horse for my husband (in his mind) He is a better rider than he believes and Jane is now a trustworthy responsive horse that is a pleasure to ride.
A little info about me. I started with horses at the age of 8. I am now 61. There was a race track very close to our home and one of the trainers would let me hot walk a couple of his horses. I continued with this moving up to the exalted position of groom (at least I thought it was exalted ) I started racing ponies from the age of 10 to 16. I have never stopped loving horses. They are a big part of who I am. I’ve worked at several race tracks during my 20s. Since then I have raised and trained quite a few horses. Made more than my share of mistakes along the way of course.
To sum up we were extremely happy with the care our horse received as well as the training done by Celine. Sometimes younger people have far more patience and dedication than many of us. I believe that any horse left with Sandy and Celine will be well cared for and progress at the rate that the horse is able to absorb the lessons.
Please feel free to contact me if you should have any questions.

From Sacha, previous coach and mentor:
To Whom It May Concern, February 16, 2012
This is a reference for Celine Roy in regards to horse training. I, Sacha Falch-Nielsen
have known Celine Roy for approximately 4 years, in which time I have taught her riding
lessons, worked with horses she has trained, and watched her work with many different
horses. Celine has worked with some of the horses I used for teaching beginners, and I
have ridden several ponies and horses she has done most of the training with.
From my time watching and teaching Celine, I have observed that she is a calm and quiet
rider. She takes her time with teaching young horses new things and has a big passion for
ground work and games with the horses. She has quiet hands and upper body which is
reassuring for young horses. Celine has no fear when working with horses, which in my
opinion is a good trait to have when training as she gets the job done! I have seen Celine
working on teaching a horse contact, bending and flexion, the beginnings of leg yielding,
and learning to jump. She is thorough with her training and expects the most out of her
horses. Some of the horses I have used for lessons that Celine has worked with have all
been good with the beginner riders and have good manners. Celine enjoys taking lessons
and is a pleasure to teach. She is always learning and finding new ways to better herself
as a rider and trainer. I believe Celine is becoming a good horse trainer and I hope you
give her the opportunity to train more horses and further her experience.
Sincerely,
