Meet the Coach..
Celine Roy
Currently a Registered EC coach, finishing licensing for Competition Level 1 coach in Hunter/Jumper.
Celine Roy is a young equestrian professional with extensive experience, whose personal journey with many different horse breeds has taken her through pony club, jumpers, low-level dressage, eventing and western disciplines, and given her exceptional versatility. She has also competed at Spruce Meadows, Rocky Mountain Show Jumping and Desert HITS to broaden her experience. Celine has taken a range of young horses into the ring, including her most developed pony which she brought up to 1.15m at home and showed to the 1m under the careful tutelage of her own mentor.
Now with over a decade of professional experience, Celine is both a beginner-to-intermediate riding coach and a horse trainer experienced in colt-starting, re-starting problem horses and training up the levels. She specializes in educating sensitive horses that become confident, trusting partners for their handlers and riders. She is registered through Equestrian Canada and is in the final process of completing her competition coaching, for coaching students at EC-sanctioned shows as per 2025 rules.
Celine and her willing and experienced lesson horses, some of which are also available for a partial lease, welcome both junior and adult riders. Celine offers a well-organized, progressive jumping program with dressage as an important component, and prepares the student for competition. She has also created a more diversified program for non-jumpers that includes a focus on equitation and recreational riding.
While each program is tailored to meet the client’s specific needs and goals, all instruction begins with comprehensive instruction on equine behavior and safety, focuses on developing the rider’s independent seat, and employs methodology including gymnastic ridden exercises and individually teaching jumping components for a more proficient understanding and safe execution, that prepare a rider to perform confidently and successfully at home and in competition.
In addition, Celine offers offsite horsemanship and jumping clinics, and fun summer camps for the junior riders.
For these reasons Celine attracts clients from all of the western Canadian provinces.

Celine has been able to ride with a variety of respectable coaches over the years and several unnamed including; Lindsey Acheson ("A" Level Pony Club), Lois Girard (FEI dressage), Rebecca Lee, Caitlin Hemphill, Linda Collinson, Lara Ulan, Kim Aasman (Willow Mist Farm), Peter Gray (clinic) and briefly under Judi Gorsline.
I continue to enjoy my job for the love of the horses and wanting to see them started in a comfortable environment with a program suited to their mind. My ultimate goal is to create a solid foundation for the horse and a strong connection between horse and rider, for both to be happy and to enable your equine to perform at his or her best. I am always looking to learn from the skilled trainers and riders out there and of course the best teachers, my horses.
