Meet the Coach..
Celine Roy
Currently a Registered EC coach, finishing licensing for Competition Level 1 coach in Hunter/Jumper.
Fortunate to be raised around horses and in the saddle, Celine developed a strong love and passion for the horses. Growing up under two colt starters and taking continued clinics to develop, she has developed a great working program for young horses and successfully rehabbing others. A greater part of her education can be credited to Lee Earnshaw, Josh Nichols & student Julianne Sabourin and continuing under the consistent and phenomenal, careful tutelage of Josefina Kaderabek. Over the last 7 years, she has continued to increase her experience showing at Spruce Meadows, RMSJ and during the winter in January/February at Desert HITS in California on a pony that she has developed to 1.15m at home and 1m in the ring. She continues coaching a variety of riders, bringing along young horses, and riding in clinics as well as regularly competing Jumpers. Celine has been able to ride with a variety of respectable coaches over the years and several unnamed including; Lindsey Acheson ("A" Level Pony Club), Lois Girard (FEI dressage), Rebecca Lee, Caitlin Hemphill, Linda Collinson, Lara Ulan, Kim Aasman (Willow Mist Farm), Peter Gray (clinic) and briefly under Judi Gorsline before moving to Leduc. Engaging a psychology aspect, while encouraging a reflective mindset during riding to recognize personal qualities and putting them to work in a positive way. She is always striving to expand her knowledge.
I continue to enjoy my job for the love of the horses and wanting to see them started in a comfortable environment with a program suited to their mind. My ultimate goal is to create a solid foundation for the horse and a strong connection between horse and rider, for both to be happy and to enable your equine to perform at his or her best. I am always looking to learn from the skilled trainers and riders out there and of course the best teachers, my horses.
