       If you've considered horse ownership and it is not currently for you at this time... leasing might be your game-changer! If you are a rider looking to improve your skills, reach a higher level of understanding in your riding, or compete, leasing is a great investment. Leasing or owning a horse provides riders with more options for opportunities but often leasing is a way to get a taste of the level of commitment that will  be required during horse ownership. 

         All lease options allow riders the ability to partake in in-house clinics and event days on their lease ride days. However only those that participate in a minimum of 3 days per week or own their own horse may participate in local shows, offsite clinics, and larger shows. 

For the families who will never own but love the half-time commitment of leasing... you are appreciated!! Leasing offers families the opportunity to determine if horses fit into your lifestyle. 

Who is eligible to lease? 
       Our in-house students will always have first rights to lease, but most important will be suitability of each rider and horse to each other. Rider experience and training level of the horse are also taken into consideration upon choosing a partner. Leasing will only be offered to individuals with the maturity to be safe and responsible, willingness to learn and the independence to maintain cleanliness and regular duties that follow along with all horse time. For those under 18, parents are expected to be active participants in supervising your child's rides and performing active duties within the barn. If parents are not comfortable around horses, there will be limited ride times available to leasers in which the instructor will be overseeing, subject to change during show season in which parents will be required to take over. Lessons and courses for the parents will be offered as pre-prep.
         Leases cannot be shared between siblings, and only the designated and agreed upon student will be permitted to ride lease horse. 

What do lease/free-ride days look like?
             Lease days allow you to spend your time with your designated horse enjoying grooming, ground work, practice ride time, going for walks or just hanging out with them. Sometimes our riders use them as an opportunity to spoil their horses with the massage gun, tidy them up for show season, or a nice easy exercise ride for fitness. All young riders must be able to provide 5 rides worth of plans as to what they would practice during a lease ride prior to beginning their lease. 
              All riders interested in leasing must know and be prepared to help out around the barn. Which means shared duties of sweeping and cleaning up of spaces, picking poop, cleaning tack, pitching in once a week before or after lease time when extras like blanketing of horses need doing, or grain bags made. Students must continue to expand their horsemanship both unmounted and in the saddle as this is also preparation to be entrusted with the care of your lease horse at all horse shows. We maintain high standards of horse care as we adore each of our horses and clients as our own. Ground management courses can be provided at any time with our instructor Celine or Stacy.

       All lease ride days must be pre scheduled, set for the days in which designated horse is not already scheduled. In the event that a leased horse becomes lame or otherwise unfit for work, we will provide a substitute ride if possible, but please remember that we cannot guarantee make-up lease days if you skip a day due to inclement weather, holidays or other scheduling conflicts.​

  ​​​Lease Options

1/3: A limited number of school horses in the program are offer for 1 ride, 1 lesson a week which offers you the opportunity to your preferred horse during lessons, rides around the property with us on lease days and on-site events.  The fee is a set fee including lessons. Riders do cover all show costs, including vaccines, day horse fees to pull from lessons.  Jumping on select horses, xrails to 2' only  so long as youth has safe flatwork walk/trot/canter and can independently tack. A suitable option to test out commitment before progressing to a half lease. 

Half Lease: 
Starting at $650+GST including lessons, tack, blankets, basic horse fees. Rider covers all show expenses, vaccines, 50% of bodywork/chiro, and additional $30 towards shoes for shod horses. 

• Intermediate 1/2 Lease - 1 lesson, 2 solo rides per week. Best suitable for riders with intention to clinic, show and trail ride offsite. Riders must have a good dressage foundation and be solid enough to work on their own in their two independent rides.
• Beginner Friendly Half Show Lease- 2 lessons per week, 1 solo ride. An ideal first option for first time lessees moving into competing. This lease offers riders one dressage/flat and one jumping lesson per week. 

• 3/4 Lease Silver Package- 1 lesson, 3 rides per week.

Full Lease:
This option allows rider full access to their own individual horse. Full leases require you to cover full board and expenses for your horse. such as routine farrier, health care (teeth, chiro, vaccines). 

• Full Lease- Option A Gold Package- 4 solo rides, 1 lesson per week.  
• Full Lease- Option B Platinum Package- 3 solo rides, 2 lesson per week. ​
