Celine Roy
Beginner to Intermediate riders. Specializing English & Jumpers. Runs young horse development program.

Fortunate to be raised around horses and in the saddle, Celine developed a strong love and passion for the horses.  Growing up under two colt starters and taking continued clinics to develop, she has developed a great working program for young horses and successfully rehabbing others.  A greater part of her education can be credited to Lee Earnshaw, Josh Nichols & student Julianne Sabourin and continuing under the consistent and phenomenal, careful tutelage of Josefina Kaderabek. Over the last 5 years, she has continued to increase her experience showing at Spruce Meadows, RMSJ and during the winter in January/February at Desert HITS in California on a pony that she has developed to 1.15m at home and 1m in the ring. She continues coaching a variety of riders, bringing along young horses, and riding in clinics as well as regularly competing Jumpers. Celine has been able to ride with a variety of respectable coaches over the years and several unnamed including; Lindsey Acheson ("A" Level Pony Club), Lois Girard (FEI dressage), Rebecca Lee, Caitlin Hemphill, Linda Collinson, Lara Ulan, Kim Aasman (Willow Mist Farm), Peter Gray (clinic) and briefly under Judi Gorsline before moving to Leduc. Engaging a psychology aspect, while encouraging a reflective mindset during riding to recognize personal qualities and putting them to work in a positive way. She is always striving to expand her knowledge.

I continue to enjoy my job for the love of the horses and wanting to see them started in a comfortable environment with a program suited to their mind. My ultimate goal is to create a solid foundation for the horse and a strong connection between horse and rider, for both to be happy and to enable your equine to perform at his or her best. I am always looking to learn from the skilled trainers and riders out there and of course the best teachers, my horses.

We are proud to welcome Stacey on board to the barn family! She will be taking on new beginner to intermediate students.
Originally from Victoria, she has been riding horses for 35+ years. She trained in hunter/jumper and dressage in her earlier years. Upon moving to Alberta 14 years ago Stacey branched out to experience and enjoy many of the western disciplines including penning, sorting, gymkhana, trail and mountain riding. She has started and restarted many horses over the years and built a strong foundation with them. While she coached many students for years prior, Stacey took a professional interest in it in 2017 and became a CHA certified instructor that same year.

On top of everything, she ran a boarding , lesson and training program at her own stable from 1976 till 1992, in addition to taking customers to shows and putting some students through their coaching level exams. We are so excited to welcome Jean and her abundance of knowledge!

Alternative Coaches:

Christine Collins
EC and AEF Dressage Judge and Three Day Eventing Official and Judge. I have worked with PonyClub and 4-H in various capacities. My interest is coaching interested riders in various disciplines, always based on basic riding and training. In the past, I received National Awards in Basic Equitation, Dressage and a variety of English classes on the Arabian Horse Show circuit. When owning and operating Collins Tack, I had the opportunity to travel North America to a variety of trade shows, marketing our product line to different tack stores. We were producers of products for the Canadian Equestrian Teams as they competed worldwide. Over the years I have judged and given clinics in Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon as well as officiating at competitions in New York, Idaho and North Carolina. I enjoy encouraging and promoting equestrians in whatever their interests may be - highly competitive dressage and eventers, jumpers, endurance riders, Pony Clubbers, working equitation enthusiasts as well as recreational riders.
